The sun shone. A pleasure it was to work with Jonathan all day long. We cut back the brambles from around the pond, some near the water could be pulled, the others cut and so coppiced to return again. I found some ferns I’d planted years ago still surviving.
Our reward, to begin the weaving of the pond frame. Fitting for Jonathan who had helped coppice the weavers and stakes. Roger was with us throughout, as if glad for our company, including us in his flock, and seemingly unperturbed by the close proximity of herding dogs.
