I know Kali hopes that the new dog will be as quickly returned to send as she arrived. He’s pretending she does not exist, walks around her, looks up at me with sad eyes, brings me ball, stick anything. She, having found her feet, knows he is her kind and she somehow must woe him. Day 3 she picks up a stick.
While Holton Hall Park has been occupying my energy, (hedge laying and winter work) , Graham continues to drive the building of the oak cabin. I’m out of funds with no cushion, as Pip would call it. My tenant has not paid rent, bank charges augment. Barry saved the day with a 10,000 loan bringing his total to 20,000. It is the exact amount I lent him in the desert (I remember doing the bank charge from a tent in Roi du Bedouin, Morocco!) to cover his emergency business costs.
The stick works. Kali begins to tolerate this new arrival, well she has a stick. He is still top dog.
