
Kasher came with her art group, just after the longest day. She put a board in my hand and I followed her instructions: Find a place with a view of distance. Find something of detail to draw. Put the detail into the landscape. I took my board to the stumpery and looked for the first time, yes, first time, through looking recording eyes, at the gentle folds of fields going over to Wenhaston.It made me feel exhilarated, and long for more.
Over a week has passed and I have not picked up the drawings I did to continue.
