Halesworth Memorial Trees

I’ve begun to create a data set of Halesworth Memorial trees. It is clear some have lost their plaque dedications and some are fading and may need replacing. Halesworth Town Council would like to consider reinstating those of general assignation typically coronations, jubilee, national events etc.

If anyone has any information or knows of the family or backstory to the ones missing or faded, please let the family know. HTC can facilitate – although not pay – for a plaque replacement.

‘Mr. J. A. Peacock, chairman of the Highways Committee of Halesworth U.D.C. (Urban District Council) planting a tree in Durban Close on the new Bramfield Road housing estate.
