The Government “blueprint” released today – January 2023 – called The Environmental Improvement Plan (EIP) 2023 includes:
Creating and restoring at least 2,000 square miles of new wildlife habitats
Ensuring everyone in England lives within a 15-minute walk of woodlands, wetlands, parks and rivers
It covers how government will:
Create and restore at least 500,000 hectares of new wildlife habitats, starting with 70 new wildlife projects including 25 new or expanded National Nature Reserves and 19 further Nature Recovery Projects
