For the second year, The Tree Council working with Suffolk Tree Wardens, have given a generous 300 saplings for the land. Collecting from Nowton Park, I walked a small part of the Victorian layed out parkland, and feel in love with Spruce. One on its own so delicate in its ochre hair of needles flowing down, the European variety a gardener tells me. Beside him one planted in his time here 12 years old, I looked at and hoped I would see one on my land to such a height.
