Marion started this last year, a few rows of potatoes, which grew well and were delicious (she kindly harvested some and I lived off them for a few months). This year she has doubled her rows and added a ‘its got two chances’ bed of seed. I’ve planted some potatoes too, not as well cared for as Marions.
All around the phycellia is once again proving a great success. It likes this sandy soil, grows well with clover, out competes thistle and ragwort. Wish I’d have planted it everywhere now!
