A glorious October day, warm enough to be without a coat, the leaves turning golden and raining down on the earth and pond, saluting the cabin. Up on the string above the pond, a photograph of Graham, the ancestor of the cabin. The beginning of the day. I read in my log last year, that I started with Graham and great gratitude towards him as my ancestor memories returned one by one.
Here’s the link to Kinda testament on this day.
Typically I was full on administering, didn’t delve down into my inner life. I thought a bit of Sugata but mainly surface stuff, the 20 years since the book was published, the exhibition in Patan, not so much the learning. But I did find a photo of my mother holding Mandy getting into our car (VBJ648G, mini minor), and Mary, half in and half out of 35 Quebec road (yellow front door), with her hat on so perhaps coming with us. Mary who was so old then, and I am near her age now. My mother so middle aged, and I am almost through middle age myself now. Time.
