The culmination of two years preparation work began today, with Maydencroft team arriving at 7am. Joe and 3 piecemeal tree planters from Swaffham rocked up, and began in the north east corner.
They put us, Sam, Chris, Joe and I, to shame, as we struggled with the layout of the small triangle of land allocated to the ‘owner’ to plant, fulfilling the EWCO plan, ie 2.5 meters between trees. Sam and his mind for mathematics, worked with Chris and Joe to finally make the lines. Curves was way too complicated.
I am exhausted at the end, and cold to the bones.
