Hired the tractor and cutter without David this time, to work it myself and with Sam. It was tough going, and I have great admiration for all David does in half a day. Together we both achieved nearly the same in one day. Ah that uneven ground – if only I’d got the land harrowed before planting. Regrets!
But we had a glorious day for it, rain came the next. Marion came to dig up some pots. I spotted a Mountain Ash emerging from one of the tubes, a glorious sight amid the more dismal news of the drought and may be 50% lost.
