The creation of a wood and the death of a dog.
- EWCO funding received end of last year to plant 6000 trees on the land. Begun in January with Maydencroft who planted the 5,000. Community involved in the planting of a hedge on sourthern boundary and led by Sam, the 1,000 of section 7
- Goz – with some challenge – put up the Chinese metal shed in Kaliwood. (shed 315 and foundation 243 + labour)
- Alley of Willow planted, provided by Lin. MJ and Tom helped to plant.
- Copping and wood husbandry with George Watts and his cherry picker and climbers (900) to make safe the oaks in the wood.
- Blessing of the Land with Suzanne Arnold and Aiden
- Creation of the Community Garden inspired by Marion, with potatoes and Squash from Janine and Wakelyns
- A free bench made and donated by Don, repaired when it was damaged.
- Bit the bullet and with some extra cash from the EWCO, with Sam and Ryan, we build a fine fence around the Community Garden with beautiful gates, welded and repaired by Ryan (5,000)
- Kali died. Burried in Kaliwoods. Caroline wrote poem.
- It was the year of drought. George inspected the saplings marking the dead to be replaced (40%)
- Armoral’s Bridge, made safe and with railings made by Sam (materials labour 350)
- We harvested potatoes and squash for us to eat in the wood
- 3 cuts of the meadows and rides (800)
- Water pipe burst on concrete track repaired by Essex and Suffolk
- Burial of a small muntjac under an oak
- Replacement of 400 sapling trees in Section 7 by MJ and Kinda children.
- Inspired by a visit to Sussex (NCFed Gathering) purchased and planted 6 specimen sapling trees: Swamp Oak, Cork Oak, Red Oak, Lebanon Oak, Holm Oak, Paulownia (Princess), Cucumber?
- Prepared for the new kitchen completed 2026
- Greenprint forum – successful grant for a shed to harvest water in the community garden to build in 2026
