After weeks of cancelling Thursdays, ground far too wet, we got back into the wood today. Paul, Jo, Jonathan and I. With Jonathan on Quality control and processing, Paul coppicing the hazel hawthorn, Jo learning to use the electric saw, and I on general stacking as well as chai and soup provision.
Historically we coppiced the first area we’d copppiced 10 years ago. Areas well over-shaddowed with privet and bramble, we found 4 fruit trees planted beside the Kinda garden. I remember making that dead hedge with Stephen (how is he I wondered?)
Paul found a sturdy Y to support our grandmother tree, the one he gave me my first lesson showing me the internal root of a tree (internal node).

Day before finally got to help Louise with the willow dome
