Tree plant 4 Thursday, Sunday and Wood sisters

Thursday, a glorious blue sky day. Traditionally Elders day, and they came – many of these photos are taken by Emily who came with her artistic eye, looked down the tubes and with Virginia took photographs of the Swaffham tree planters. Esther and Andrew, (Andrew unwittingly got bitten by Kali so I got to brush up on my first aid), Marion, Liz, and Leslie. What a team.

Wood Sisters on Saturday

They began the second row of hazel, with their blessings and paraphernalia from the goddess Bridget.

Sunday, the final day

Two who’d met the wood sisters came, and finished the line of hazel. Virginia delighted in the help of bobji who dug. Julia rocked up and Neal Armour Chelu walking his dog joined in. Faithful April came with her oak trees, she’d grown from seed, and her knowledge of fungi, which fascinated Virigina and I. She thinks it is known as The Deceiver, Laccaria laccata. And Pippa came who joined Julia and I for chai in the cabin at the end. We got it all done!
